Ismael Mercado is a Civil Engineer and a Project Management Professional (PMP) who offers over twenty years of multidisciplinary management expertise in construction processes, engineering management, and facility management.

Ismael served in a multiverse of roles as a Chief Warrant Officer for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Served as Officer in Charge (OIC) for the 74th Survey And Design, led the 1/B 249th Prime Power Detachment on operations for Power Generation and Distribution both in the US and Overseas, Served as Chief of Construction for projects in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, and Turkey. And hold the position of Chief Advisor for Construction and Development in Military Installations.

In the private sector, Ismael worked as a Project Manager in retail construction, managing over $60M/Yr in construction assets. And build over $22M in Restaurants for multi-national food chain restaurants.

Currently, Ismael is the CEO of MECO Contractors, LLC. Meco's mission is to continue serving the community through its relations, fair price, and quality work. MECO Contractors currently hold service and construction contracts with federal government entities while continuing to build for retail and restaurant chains all over Texas. In 2023 Meco opened its Development & Residential division with the development and construction of thirty affordable homes, bridging its level of service and quality into the residential sector.
